Odell Beckham Jr. discusses how many more seasons he has left

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. discussed how many more seasons he could play during Wednesday's introductory news conference with the Miami Dolphins.

Beckham Jr. and the Dolphins agreed to a one-year contract worth $3M (with incentives that could push its value up to $8.25M) on May 3.

The LSU product will turn 32 on Nov. 5, midway through the 2024 season, so it makes sense that he's thinking about the end of his career.

After spending the 2022 offseason recovering from his torn ACL that he suffered in Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams, Beckham Jr. went unsigned through the year.

Beckham Jr. signed a one-year, $15M deal with the Baltimore Ravens last April and was released in mid-March. He finished his lone season with two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson with 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets.

OBJ made all three of his Pro Bowls in his first three seasons with the New York Giants from 2014-16 but has just a pair of 1,000-yard campaigns since then. Beckham Jr. missed significant time due to injury in 2017 (12 games, ankle), 2018 (four games, quad) and 2020 (nine games, ACL), so his ability to play for two or three more seasons may be pushing it.

He won't have as much pressure to carry an offense as he's had in years past, playing in South Beach with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle and running backs Raheem Mostert and De'Von Achane.
